with the development of CCD technology,CCD Camera has been more and more used in object tracking, automatic driving and traffic monitoring field,It request high-speed transfer of digital image signal. The PCI is a high-powered local bus of computer, and it can transfer data in 132MB/s,so it is very fit for high-speed peripheral equipment, such as graph,image,3D animation and net work. The PCI already became mainstream bus of computer. At the present time, the correlative high-speed peripheral equipment is designed almost based on it.In this paper,a CCD image grab card based on PCI is designed.FPGA acts as the image grab card's logic control center. This image grab card uses DS90CR288A to translate the Camera Link signal to digital image data. After buffering in an FIFO RAM the data are read into computer by a universal PCI interface chip,PCI9054.Finally the images are displayed on screen. The paper introduces the character of PCI bus, describe the signals and commands and transfer protocol of PCI bus.To play down difficulty of developing the board,we adopt the PCI9054 chip to construct the interface system.Paper details the characteristics of the PCI9054,the working mechanism and the internal register set method. On this basis, the combination of Camera Link agreement to build a PCI bus based on CCD image signal acquisition system. And then drawn schematic, combined with anti-jamming performance and alignment the overall layout to complete the printed circuit board design. Finally, device driver used in the system is developed with DRIVERSTUDIO tool. The driver is used to save data from the card to computer memory and resolve the problem of real time accessing and displaying.
