To Any perfect video monitor system, the control devices are the basis while the video matrix is the core. A good video matrix system can nearly realize all requested functions of the monitor system. Therefore, we can say: to be familiar with the matrix technology is equal to be familiar with the video system, to use the matrix technololgy well is to be allowed to constitute many kinds of practical monitor system easily.Digital Video Matrix Technology is syncretized the computer, multimedia, communications and network technologies and so on, it is also the application and promoted manifesting in the real-time monitoring domain of electronic technology and computer technology, humoring its progress and development. Digital video matrix system has stable capability and advanced technology, its application scope is widespread and has broad development space.While, the technology of digital video matrix technology based on the network is specially aimed at the needs of video monitor and recording in the network, the function of video display in security market, it can realize long-distance video and audio outputting onto the screen wall. It is a powerful supplement of digital video system of local monitor, and also the future development direction of monitor system.Firstly, this article reviews the course of the monitor system and the video matrix system, provides the research focuces of digital video matrix technology based on network by anylizing the defects of exsiting video monitor system; Secendly, this article introduces present mainstream of video processing technology, such as MPEG-X and H.26X, and the network transmission technology, then according to the characteristics this paper uses the MPEG-4 pressing standard and the TCP+UDP/RTP way of network transmission to improve the performance of this system; Thirdly, this article anylizes and designs its system structure and realizing ways of functions in detail, and determines the main functions and the realizing strategy of this thesis. With the help of above, it explains the design thinking of each function module of this system, and uses advanced video encoreding technology, computer communication technology, network transmissing technology and advanced software programming technology, realizes the matrix control software by modular structure design. At last, it shows an application case to describe the specific using of this matrix technology, and then gives the test results. Through the case, it proves that the digital matrix system this papers reseaches has the characteristics with advanced technology, reliable operating and excellent performance in order to deepen the reader's understanding of the research results!...
