| With the hospital management mode transformation, it is difficult for the traditional hospital information system(HIS) to meet the demand of hospital modernized management for lacking of effective data analysis and decision support. Data warehouse technology provides a solution for improving the hospital management level and competition advantage according to its increasing development and maturity. This paper aims at exploring the application and implementation strategy of data warehouse technology in hospital information system by building up a data warehouse prototype system which is based on medical expenses analysis.This paper introduces the critical technology of data warehouse including data integration, data organization and management, visualization of multi-dimension view and OLAP(on-line analytical processing) technology . It suggests a data integration method based on meta data, and describes a meta data logical model using relation database architecture. An application model is designed with two-layer C/S structure , using data integration as its foundation , data organization and management of data warehouse as its core and OLAP service as its data access engine to conduct multi-dimension data query and analysis.This paper specially discusses how to build up a data warehouse system, it presents a star-mode-based physical model, multi-granularity and data partition strategy. The feasibility of improving query performance of data warehouse by using multi-granularity, data-partition and index mechanism is also discussed .It presents the design methods and procedures of data analysis and multi-functional reporting by using OLAP technology in detail. An application example of data warehouse is introduced. Otherwise,a data interpreter is designed in the subject to enhance the ability of common user using data warehouse. This subject is a trial of application on data warehouse technology of HIS,and gets effective result in actual application. |
