The Application And Research Of Data Warehouse And OLAP In Weather Data Analyzing

The research background of the essay is based on the project: Northwest regions general weather information On-Line analytical processing system. This project aims to resolve the problems of the weather data: complexity,magnanimity,low usage efficiency. Using Data Warehouse and OLAP technology, through analyzing the weather data from 1951 to 2004 of northwest region, build up the general weather data warehouse model and provide users multi-dimensional data analysis function. The system comes down to data extraction,data electing and pre-processing,Data Warehouse multi-dimensional model designing and so on.The implementation of the system improves the management efficiency dramatically and provides us a new method to analyze and display the data. The users can do any kind of complex query and analysis through the browsers and can make the process results visualable visualization in many ways. It can do much favor to the weather decision making.
