With the rapid progress of soft and hard ware technology and gradual perfection of concerned theory in the computer industry, CAD technology is developed and applied greatly. Present CAD/CAM systems of Pro/Engineer etc are big soft ware ones commonly used now. Developing applied program suitable for local users will no doubt greatly improve the design efficiency and quality of the product, quicken the steps of innovation and raise the competition ability of enterprises in the market.There are many ways for further development based on Pro/Engineer. The development ways concern relatively higher soft ware knowledge and don't make full use of the Pro/Engineer in itself. Confined by lacking of professional talents especially computer, the mid- and small enterprises do less further development.Considering the demands of enterprises, the writer, as a mechanical engineer, not as a computer engineer, evaluates the technology for further development. The function of Pro/Engineer itself is fully made use of through multi-layered form technology. MFC based on VC can implement Pro/TOOLKIT's parameter-design for Layout. Quality of product is finally under control through Layout. This makes it easy for research and development engineers to develop program. A further development method is put forward which is easily accessible and accords with the thinking of the mechanical engineer. Implementation method of three-dimension parameter- design is studied for dragger. Implementation design of the typical structure of the part is carried out. This proves feasibility of the design thought and method through above method.
