Welding fixture is one of the necessary equipment in welding process, it plays an important role in ensuring welding quality, improving manufacture efficiency and easing intensity of workers. In order to make up the short of traditional manual methods with low efficiency and long period and to adapt to the need of CIMS . In this paper, WFCAD system is developed secondly based on the research of the former several graduated students, We developed this software, WFCAD System, which uses for references by machine fixture CAD, can satisfy the requirement of the advanced welding process and technology.The new WFCAD system established by Pro/Toolkit making programme technology and supported by Pro/Engineer2001, Visual C++ 6.0.The new WFCAD system's research is mainly aimed at establishing of menu, dialog, interface for user, API and animation by using Visual C++6.0.can complete the designing and computing of the basic and the structural size of the hinge fixtures, the forming of three dimension drawing and the realizing of 3-D dynamic simulation and make sure that the fixture design can be success on its first run. Comparing the former WFCAD system based on AutoCAD , The later one based on Pro/Engineer2001 is more effective and advanced with database-management parameter I/O Tech.
