Integration Of CAD/CAPP In Pro/ENGINEER

At present, with widely use of three dimensional CAD software, like Pro/ENGINEER,UG, CAT1A, SolidWorks and so on, the new change is proposed to the application and requestion of CAPP system. All these three dimensional CAD system is developed toward the direction of visible, integration and intellectualized; they are also the one CAD/CAM integration software packages and a CAD/CAM integration solution environment. We can have one formidable platform if we develop CAPP system in this environment.Aimed at recently existing problems in the application of software Pro/ENGINEER such as the unique employment of CAD function, insufficient usage of CAM function, and repealed labor of designing processes during CAD function employment, a general method for implementation of integration of CAD/CAPP is developed by using the secondary development software Pro/TOOLKIT in the system of Pro/ENGINEER. Moreover, the mode of dynamic link library (DLL) is also used to realize the development of user's interface with the utility programs, using the libraries of MFC category in VC++6.0.In this paper, a detailed design scheme is given for overall design of the system and the building up of various functional modules, so that automatic processing of related processes is realized and actual application level of Pro/ENGINEER system is improved.Design for manufacturing in Pro/ENGINEER is brought forward in...
