Research On Material Tracking Information System Based On RFID

The technologic foundation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is mainly composed of large-scaled integrated circuit technology, database technology and radio technology. RFID has its extradinary advantage in matrial tracking management for its non-contact indentifying ( tags, readers,antenna), mass data storage, repeated readability and writability, long range and high rate data exchage, long working life and easy adaption to environment and also for it is a unique kind of technology that can indentify multiple objects simutanously.Logistic management of raw material is a set of complex procedures. And this project aims to increase the raw material quality, applies RFID technology to manufacturing logistic management, and presents a RFID-based material tracking information system, so as to make the raw material able to be traced and tracked automatically and improve the semiproduct or prodect quality by optimazing the procedure of raw material management. In this thesis, according to the practical producing procedures and the demand of products quality of a tobacco company, a material tracking information system which combines RFID technolgoty, computer networks and database technology is designed, and the design includes system architecture, RFID data acquisition methold, database accessing interface, backend database and part client user software. This paper includes the following research and development work and increation:(1) research on RFID working principle and its application in logistics, and integrating it into material tracking information system to gurantee product quality.(2) implementing logistic data acquisition by specific RFID device programming.(3) integrating RFID technology , database application system, computer networks and device controlling technology so as to synchronize material flow and information flow.(4) designing platform of material tracking information system for tobacco leaf plucking and cutting procedures of a tobacco company, and developing database accessing interface and key client user software.
