The Design And Development Of Materials Management System Based On RFID

As companies enter the era of information management, ERP system becomeswidely used by most enterprise management systems. In the materials management,although the ERP system includes logistics and cash flow information，but becausethe materials management department does not solve the identification problem ofmaterial, materials used in the whole process of tracking can not be carried out.Materials management needs human intervention, such management will lead to theinconsistency of purchasing and inventory, supplies expired or loss. Mismanagementof the inventory of assets will result in the increase of the cost of doing business.Therefore, to solve the problems of corporate materials management has greatsignificance.This paper describes the research background of the RFID-based materialsmanagement system, the significance of the main content and purpose of the conceptof RFID technology, characteristics, research status, applications and works. Thefocus of this paper is the company’s materials management system design anddevelopment. Based on the basis of the RFID system process analysis and warehousedivision, the paper detailed design the overall structure, functional structure,architecture and database of the system, and design a detailed functional descriptionof the materials management, distribution management, inventory management, cargomanagement, user management subsystems, and solve the connection of the materialmanagement system with the ERP system, briefly describe the relationship betweenthe various entities, and explain the structure of the system hardware and network.The system front-end design principles based on B/S structure mode, be able to meetthe demand of different qualities of people. The system back-end design anddevelopment using Oracle database, be well to convergence with the ERP system. Thedesign of system is achieved to auto-management of the materials, effectivelytracking the whole process of the using of the materials, improving corporatematerials management and distribution efficiency. Advanced management system isintelligent warehouse material management, standardization, and informationtechnology management tools, is conducive to long-term development of enterprise.
