With the rapid development of economy, the potential problems of logistics industry had become more and more exposed, and the traditional logistics management and tracking technology thus could no longer satisfy the enterprise's management. Computer and communication technology had been more and more mature since the 21 st century, therefore RFID had been widely applied in both production and life. RFID was a non-contact automatic identification technology that could be accomplished in a variety of harsh environments. Now the technology had been widely used in access control, transport, pharmaceutical management, automotive quality management and so on.In traditional logistics management technology, problems like long operating cycle, low efficiency appeared during management, made it more difficult to feedback clients' logistics information timely. And collected information could also be affected in poor working environment. Hence introducing RFID technology to logistics management and combine RFID and bar code technology could solve the problems in goods inventory and tracking. The main work of this paper was as follows:(1) Through the analysis of the current situation of RFID technology in various fields, discovery had been that the application of RFID technology in retailing and production management had achieved better results. RFID technology not only improved management level but also gained profit to the enterprise. According to the current status of domestic logistics, combining the technology of RFID and bar code could help solve problems involve in logistics inventory and tracking.(2) Before the development of the system, the logistics enterprises business process, the role of the system,the hardware requirements and the functional modules were analyzed. At the same time, we had done a detailed investigation of the characteristics of RFID technology.(3) On the basis of logistics design objectives of logistics inventory and tracking, the RFID technology on inventory and tracking modules as well as database were designed. Through the design of functional modules, solved the problems of visibility and traceability, namely logistics staff could have a real-time control on the process of equipment and upload the logistics information of all nodes in logistics. All data of the system was trackable, continuous and real-time. From the boxes shipped to destinations, the data could be tracked or traced.(4) According to the system design, logistics inventory and tracking system based on RFID technology in implemented using Java Web technology, and the key features of the system had been shown. Practice had shown that the system solves problems of logistics inventory and tracking, and therefore ensured the security of the system.(5) This article introduced the non-contact, automatic recognition RFID technology into Logistics Inventory and Tracking System. The system, RFID tags and RFID handheld integrated together. RFID tag had a unique ID feature, and with goods bounded. The handset could identify batch of tags and the information would be uploaded to the system. It made the real-time tracking of inventory and logistics be possible. What's more, it improved the work efficiency.This system could effectively improve the management level of logistics, and realized real-time tracking, visualization and networking.
