In CNC workshop it is a very important for tooling management, it is one of the key factors to impact the advanced technique, reliable quality, timely delivery and reasonable manufacture cost. Our company is a professional pump manufacturer, in CNC workshop there are more than hundreds tooling and accessories, how to use the tooling effectively is the right way to enhance production efficiency and decrease the production cost.There are some tooling management problems in CNC workshop as below:(1) Out-of-order tooling location in workshop, it is difficult to find the right tooling in a short time.(2) Incorrect consumption information because of inaccurate records, it makes tooling stock discrepancy to impact normal usage.(3) It is difficult to collect the tooling information during production.The thesis designs a tooling management system to solve these problems, the main contents as below:(1) Research the typical tooling management system structure and the normal working process, and analysis the key tooling management techniques like tooling stock control, tooling dispatch, tooling code and tooling life management, bring out the actual tooling management strategy.(2) Set up the tooling management system model base on the actual tooling requirements.(3) Establish a C/S tooling management database base on DELEPHI 7.0 and ACCESS.(4) Set up a 24 hrs non-stop tooling control system in workshop.The system has finished and running to get some experience, it will have more effective impact in the future.
