At present, the machining process and tooling designing of aero-engine parts are basically using the traditional serial design pattern. It results in the long process and tooling design cycle and frequent rework phenomenon. In order to solve these problems this paper presented a concurrent design pattern of process and tooling designing which combined the actual demands of an aero-engine manufacturing company. This thesis established the concurrent design information and process model of process and tooling designing, then studied the establishment and management technology of resource database, user rights management technology and process management technology and finally developed the concurrent design prototype system of process and tooling designing which advanced the start time of tooling designing, realized the concurrency of process and tooling designing and shortened the design cycle of the process and tooling designing. The main work and research results of this paper are summarized as follows:(1) This paper established three information models of the concurrent design of process and tooling designing from three aspects of "people", "process and tooling data" and "resources". On the basis of information model, the process model of concurrent design of process and tooling designing is established by using the eEPC modeling method. The process model provides planning and guidance for working process of concurrent design of process and tooling designing, and the information model provides support for the process model.(2) This thesis creates the typical processes resources database, tooling resources database and resources database of typical process integrated tooling solutions. The data storage technology, resource version management technology and resource library retrieval technology of PLM system are studied.(3) The rights management mechanism is researched by defining the roles of enterprise personnel. The design process and the change process of concurrent technology of process and tooling design are managed.(4) This paper constructed the concurrent design system of the process and tooling design, developed tooling rapid customization and tooling intelligent decision tools based on Teamcenter secondary development technology. Finally, this thesis showed the concurrent design process of process and tooling with an example.
