Study On Contemporary College Students's Media Literacy And Education

Media Literacy is the elective ability,understanding ability,analytic ability,evaluate ability,creative and critical ability of people who are facing all sorts of information. In campus,the main channel of students get the information is media, especially the internet. Yet in the process of media contacting there are lots of problems shown up about media literacy of students, which has brought about scholars's attention and investigation. Taking Nanchang university of JiangXi for instance,this paper analyses the status of students's media literacy, which including the status of media life and internet contacting, media's impression and the judgement of students as well as the media information's creation. And then it comes to a significant conclusion towards students's media literacy concerning the productive ability shown up in their blog. This paper,bases on the surveys, considers that developing the media literacy education among students is the most effective channel to improve their media literacy. So, learning from the successful experiences of foreign media literacy education, the author proposes that the best pattern of college students's media literacy education are course-education and self-education. Besides through this paper I hope that our country would pay attension to the college students's media literacy education and this paper could be a benificial reference for universities in our country to develope the college students's media literacy education.
