The digital library is the national information infrastructure important constituent, at present has become appraises a national information basic level one of the important symbol. Along with the Internet rapid development, each kind of digital resources emerge one after another incessantly. The different type data pool and the data platform increased adapt to the digital library development need, regarding the user, for searches accurately, looks up the material which all needs, can not but enter the different inquiry system separately, familiar each digital resources retrieval way and demonstration form, search for work brought many inconveniences.In order to solve the above problem, this paper describes the design of a Web Services based on the cross-platform technology retrieval system structure. The system allows the user to achieve a unified interface and query environment of different data sources of information inquiries, after one and be integrated, unified format for the search results pages.This paper introduced a cross-platform concept retrieval technology and its working principles, Analysis of the current inter-platform indexed several options. Due to the selected technology factors, These cross-platform Retrieval System for the model and does not solve the real meaning of distributed technology-related issues, These methods also in the structure and application also can not achieve the reunification of resources, integrating the requirements of publication. Therefore, the design and development of a new model and advanced technology, cross-platform retrieval system is of great significance. Based on J2EE, Web Services and the MVC design pattern analysis indicates that Web Services Internet technology to adapt to the needs of development, from the fundamental solution to the distributed technology related issues, Web services technology to achieve cross-platform retrieval system has obvious advantages; and based on the MVC design pattern Struts application framework in the development of large-scale Web applications equally prominent advantages.In this paper we use Struts Web Services technology and the combination of the completion of cross-platform Retrieval System The structure design; using JDBC database Internet technology to connect to the database; Web Services completed a module data access and search functions. At the same time Web-using Struts framework technology, design and development, service completed its acquisition of Web Services server-retrieval of data query operation and the realization of the user interface and query results show that the interface functions. Use of Taiyuan University of Technology Library existing bibliographic databases, the topic of the program to achieve the certification and testing. In the process of the realization of the program, the system uses JBoss as a Web server, Use Java programming language, JSP technology development web page. After testing, the system is stable, well-functioning, to complete the anticipated goals.
