Study On The Library Cross-Boundary Services

With the maturing and application of modern information technology,the revolution of thinking method changing of Internet has penetrated into all professions and trades.No exception of library.As the way of people's communication,access to information and the need for information and knowledge have changed,the traditional library service mode cannot fully reflect its functions.The advantages of the library in the service of literature,information and knowledge are decreasing and the substitution is weakening.Therefore,libraries need to break through the traditional service model,which means breaking the boundaries and crossing over the organization system,and build a scientific mechanism and efficient service system,and ultimately achieve successful cross-boundary services.Changing from the traditional and single library center to modern comprehensive cultural communication space that combines cultural exchanging,consumption and modern polymerization experience together,which makes the content of the library cross-boundary services integrated,service process intelligent and socialized.Based on the relevant data in the database query and the related books,the author mastered the library cross-boundary services related research data: firstly,obtaining relevant theories supporting,sorting out the theoretical basis and starting point on the library cross-boundary services by predecessors;secondly,collecting data about empirical experience,analyzing the form of cross-boundary services at home and abroad,summarizing limitations and hysteresis from the existing library cross-boundary services,and putting forward the new views about the cross-boundary services system and mechanism innovation in the end.This paper consists of five chapters,the first chapter is about the significance of this topic.The library cross-boundary service research status at home and abroad,research methods,main contents and innovations of the dissertation are summarized.In the second chapter,the connotation and characteristics of library the cross-boundary services are described,namely the library cross-boundary services can creatively improve the information resources utilization of their own and the organizations who cooperate with them,as well as information circulation.Broadening the field of information service and service groups,allowing users to enjoy the "one-stop" information service,providing a favorable atmosphere and conditions for knowledge innovation.Mode and service at home and abroad of the library cross-boundary services are mainly researched in the third chapter,and analyzing the existing problems in our country.The fourth chapter analyses China's policy and technical environmental supporting situation,constructing the library cross-boundary services system.The fifth chapter summarize the paper,and the author puts forward the development direction of the library cross-boundary services under the new environment,as well as the shortcomings of this paper.
