With the increasing in the density of electronic and electrical equipment ,electronic equipment or system electromagnetic compatibility requirements increasingly high. EMC testing technology is an important subject for EMC study and the validation of rationality of electronic equipment design and certification. It's also an important means of the final evaluation of the quality of electronic equipment and EMC study. Currently, the majority of the EMC Laboratory tests have already been used the automatic means. To a certain extent, greatly improving the testing of the efficiency and accuracy. But, there are shortcomings as following: (1)Less of complete modular automatic test systems development; (2) There is a lack of unified and standardization development method of system;(3)The poor openness of system.Based on the background of actual development project, this paper studies component-based software development technology and interchangeable equipment technology with IVI, which involved in the automatic testing software development. Then set up the frame structure of EMC Automatic Test Platform according to the above theoretical foundation. Detailed design process of its core part-function components and the norms of development based on platform structure are given in this paper. Then , according to the platform model and ideas ,this paper introduce the development process and test results of the Shelter Shielding Effectiveness Automatic Test System. The paper made a summary of the overall work,and Prospects for further study finally.Platform has features of hierarchical structure, function of scalability, irrelevance of equipment. It provides a new idea for research and development of EMC Automatic Test System.
