In this paper, the test of general weapon and virtual instrument technology are discussed deeply and in detail, the hardware and part of the software of the system are design , and finally the platform of virtual instrument is formed . In the design of the hardware, the prevalent technology of CPLD/FPGA are being applied, the technology enhance the universality and flexibility of the hardware. Recur to this platform, according to the need of the existing weapon and new arming, we can achieve the design of a new type of test instrument on condition that we only adjust the software and almost needn't change the hardware. In the whole word, the following points have been finished:1. Developing history, prospect expectation, performance characters and application in thefield of modern detection of virtual instrument are deeply analyzed and discussed. 2. According to the characters of virtual instrument, on the base of comprehensive analyze of the general weapon arming, we established the hardware scheme of the system, and work out the hardware of virtual instrument3. Software of virtual is design according to the character of hardware , under the environment of labview, and the virtual instrument platform is formed. The problem of communication between software and hardware is also solved.
