The virtual instrument technology is a kind of technology which simulates the traditional measurement machine, fully integrated the efficient and accurate calculations of the computers, combines with the hardware and software to get to the function of traditional measurement machine. It has a small size in hardware, much more reliability in calculation and analysis. It can analyze data and display data with software.Using visual development environment for a secondary development is the most convenient and possible way to design and develop the virtual instrument. At present the virtual instrument is widely used in PC environment, but is not so popular in the embedded field because of lacking of resource, difficult in development and its specificity needs and functions. Currently the embedded virtual instrument is still on the way. As the virtual instrument technology used widely in the embedded system field, there is a need to develop a rapid embedded virtual instrument development which is used in embedded system to solve the problems that virtual instruments development are inconvenient in embedded system.Through the use of CORBA middleware architecture to achieve embedded virtual instrument IDL design, it can reduce the difference among platforms and make it convenient to transplant to other platforms. It designs the interchangeable virtual instrumental components based on the IVI standards so that the same kind of the virtual instrumental components can be changed by each other under specific conditions. According to the signal and plot mechanism, it creates the connection between different components to send and receive the data. From these three parts this thesis designs many embedded virtual instruments by components, and at last designs a system which called Embedded Virtual Instruments Integrated Developed Environment to achieve visualization of the virtual instrument development.
