Research Of Logistics Information Systems Based On Ontology

Ontology is a concept of the philosophy in the most beginning. Since the 1990s, people has imported ontology concept into the domains of Artificial Intelligence, Knowledge Engineering, Library and Information and Information System. In recent years, research and application about ontology has been showing a trend of acceleration development, based theory research is becoming more complete, the application areas are more extensive. Domestic research on ontology has a much disparity gap than research projects and research results emerging in abroad.Through accessing to large domestic and foreign literatures, this paper explores the theories and methods of ontology, expounds ontology concept, role, modeling method, the formal language and the relevant ontology evaluation tools, introducing the domestic and international research on the development of ontology.At present, the field which ontology is involving is very broad, including agriculture, geography and gardening and so on, however, research in the field of logistics in not too much. The paper puts forward necessary of importing ontology in the logistics information system basing on analyzing the current problems in it, completes the ideas setting of ontology construction. In the process of constructing ontology, the thesis constructs orders, warehouses, storages and transport ontology according to the major operation tasks of logistics area. In addition, analyzing detailed construction process of ontology under Protégéand ontology elements characteristics used in the paper. The paper discusses the storage methods of ontology and determines storage method in line with the ontology actual situation.The purpose of constructing ontology is designed to use. There are more ontology specific applications in system modeling, information sharing and retrieval and many other aspects. The thesis mostly researches application of information retrieval. Learning Java API: Jena which applies to semantic net developed by HP Corp. Jena can complete various operations on ontology, such as, knowledge reasoning, ontology data retrieval and ontology own model information. Since the ontology built on the paper is only the description of concepts, and no filling examples, thesis puts forward ontology own model information querying basing on Jean in Chapter V.
