The Office Automation System Based On Knowledge Management Of Chongqing ICBC

Nowadays office automation (OA) system has developed into the third generation: office automation based on knowledge management. The system which is built on the platform of enterprise Intranet system can help enterprises to achieve dynamic content display and actual knowledge management, so that the employees acquire continuously learning opportunities and progress. This paper relys on the development of office automation system of Chongqing Industrial & Commercial Bank. The prototype of office automation system based on knowledge management is studied and the OA system design is presented. The system uses Intranet structure, runs on the Lotus Notes groupware environment, and adopts Domino utility composed by 2 Server to realize the function of load balancing, data synchronization and system backup, etc. Windows NT Server / Windows 2000 Server is used as the network operating platform. The group cooperative work is achieved by computer and communication network.The design concepts and methods of office automation based on knowledge management of Chongqing Industrial and Commercial Bank are studied. A prototype of office automation system is established, which includes system framework structures, system level structures, various system function modules. How to achieve knowledge management combined actual situation of Chongqing Industrial and Commercial Bank and relevant knowledge & technology are mainly introduced. Finally, the platform and typical user interface of OA of Chongqing Industrial and Commercial Bank are mainly presented.The enterprise message service platform is build based on powerful groupware functions and workflow technology of Lotus Notes R5. The enterprise simultaneous collaboration and expert location are achieved based on Sametime. Domino.doc is choosed to achieve documents automation management and transfer the dominant knowledge. LearningSpace is used to intensify staff training and achieve knowledge exchange and transfer. The system network platform, the software and hardware platform, as well as typical user interface and operative effect of the sytem are presented in the part of the office automation system implementation. The security strategy of the system is put forward combination Notes security mechanism and other data security theory. The office automation system referred in this paper has already been successfully realized and also applied, and good effects are achieved. It has greatly improved management level and office efficiency of Chongqing Industrial and Commercial Bank.
