The office automation system (OAS) has been developed to the third generation, which is based on the knowledge management (KM).The OAS is established on the Intranet platform. It can help the enterprises to realize the display about dynamic content and real management about knowledge. It also gives chances to each employee in the enterprise about learning and improvement in corporation. This paper relays on the development of Xing'an Mobile Company Office Automation System. It studies the OAS prototype based on KM and gives a real system.This article does research on the design idea and method of Office Automation based on KM in Xing'an Mobile Company. It establishes an OAS network system and functions.The system runs in Intranet architecture and in groupware condition of Lotus Notes.Two servers constitute Domino clusters to balance loads, data synchronization and system backup etc.The net operation platform is Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 Server. The article focuses mainly on how to realize KM integrated with the fact of Xing'an Mobile Company and introducing the KM technology, such as Lotus Domino R5 is to establish the enterprise cooperation and information platform; Domino.doc is to manage documents and explicit knowledge automatically. At last the article points out the technologies about documents transmission.In the chapter of document transmission the characteristic of document transmission, the design of workflow and the solutions of document transmission are emphasized.The researching of OAS in this paper has been applied successfully and gained well application effect and greatly increased the management level and official efficiency of Xing'an Mobile Company.
