Considering about the actual demand of Daqing Oilfield Data Center's data storage management , basing on the SAN(Storage Area Network) and the TSM(Tivoli Storage Management ), proposed a strategy model ,which can be used to deploy transparent distributed data storage and management. This model has realized four level strategy configuration, based on the Domain Strategy, Set Strategy, Copy Group and Management, So that managers can achieve the Actual Storage-Backup data mapping to he strategy model transparently. To ensure system scientific and rational automatic backup, proposed the system backup scheduling model , under the control of this model can realize the automatic backup function. To achieve monitoring the backup condition of all nodes , on the basis of the In-depth study about IBM's Management Library, proposed the meta-model ,based on metadata to monitor the system. Using this meta-model designed and realized the System monitoring. After designing basing on the Architecture model we have realized the Daqing Oilfield Data Network storage management System backup and System monitor software. The mainly innovation points are as follows:Firstly, through the research on the SAN Technology and Combining Daqing Oilfield Data Center's massive data management's actual demand. Basing on the Efficient SAN, proposed the Daqing Oilfield Data Center storage Architecture which has lay an important foundation for Daqing Oilfield's professional data storage.Secondly, Through the research on the IBM's TSW Strategy, Combining the actual situation of the Oilfield's data storage, proposed and realized a storage management Strategy meta-model which Enables managers and users of various types manage different types of data. According to this model unified management strategy. Through this Strategy model, managers can develop our company's data management strategy of various units.Thirdly, Against the actual oilfield data storage demand Combining the Resource Scheduling theoretical model, proposed and implemented the oilfield automatic data backup scheduling model of various types of data. Through this scheduling model implemented the automatic data backup function of various types of oilfield data. According to the Scheduling Algorithm, developed unified scheduling strategy to all the nodes, thus achieved various nodes'backup scientific and reasonable according to the strategy configuration rules .Fourthly, basing on TSM system meta-model, proposed a storage system's monitoring meta-model, and implemented the data backup and recovery Monitoring System . According to the meta-model designed and implemented The whole dynamic monitoring system for storage management, thus system managers can access the work status of the various nodes At any time. Through the monitor software, managers canMonitor and Master the work status of any backup node at any time, The problem nodes can be achieved fault alarm function, thus Conveniences the managers to manage the various nodes .Fifthly, during the developing process of Monitoring System, we fully studied TSM background data acquisition technology. Through the unique and embedded database communications mechanism achieved the communications with the TSM metadata model .In short, through these key technology's research has solved the problem of Data Center's massive data storage and backup scientific, orderly, efficient. Achieved the set targets, the system has been used in the Daqing oilfield applications, and has achieved good results.
