The data is the most precious thing in the enterprise, and now the enterprise realizes the data is more and more importance. In order to avoiding losing the important data, the reliability and the manipulation of data storage are becoming the key in the process of the enterprise information development. Therefore, the data storage and backup are indispensable component in the enterprise management. Most of the enterprises had done it effectively, but the consideration of the data backup policy is very little. Facing the explosive growth of data, the enterprise is facing unprecedented challenges of storage. The quantity of the storage users is growing, and the usage of the network to transmit information is growing, too. How to backup the data reasonably, safely and effectively is worth of researching deeply.Firstly, the paper introduces the basic concept, the present situation, the key technology and its development trend of storage and backup. Secondly, the paper studies the policy of data storage and the backup task scheduling, and designs a model of data backup policy and implement to backup data in accordance with the policy. The paper use the policy information of the storage and backup mode to manage these backup tasks. In order to dispatching the backup tasks reasonably, establishing the project of backup scheduling scientifically and insuring the capability of backup systems, the paper analyzes the relations between backup and storag deeply,and the task of backup has been finished as soon as possible to establish mathematical model of storage and scheduling goal of task. The paper studies domestic and foreign scheduling algorithm synthetically and analyzes the strengths and weaknesses. When solving the problem of backup task scheduling, a scheduling of backup algorithm that combines genetic algorithm with tabu search algorithm has been adopted. Finally, basing on the above research, the paper designs a system of storage and backup, backup policy model and scheduling model and coding to achieve.It is proved that the system of backup and storage based on the backup policy model and scheduling model can manage and use the storage resources scientifically, improve the utilization of storage resources, respond to backup requests of user as soon as possible, and optimize the backup time.
