| The development and advancement of society has resulted in more and more data being produced, especially along with the growth of the Internet, the amount of data increases just like exploration. The traditional storage system can't meet the need of the requirement on good dependability, expandability and security for Enterprise user. So the new storage system SAN emerges as the times require.SAN is defined as a network where storage devices and server devices are connected together by fast links such as optical fiber channels. SAN can be used to implement integrated management of storage resource, to reduce the management costs, to improve the speed of data access and the efficiency of storage space, and to increase system flexibility and expandability. The sharing of data and storage resource between different types of server also becomes possible.SAN, a new technology, brings the software demand correlating with it. Furthermore, backup/restore is the core function of Storage Resource Manager System.The author joins a storage resource manager system project based on SAN which co-developed with a foreign company. On the base of comprehension on SAN manager software architecture, the author analysis the special function requirement of backup/restore software, and accomplish the boost up backup/restore module of this project. So, the paper describes the work process of the author.This paper introduced the theory of SAN and the whole structure of this storage resource manager system first, then explain the function design and inner structure of the fundamental backup/restore module, put forward the Transaction Operate Group thinking former on this basis; secondly, expatiate the implementation of boost up backup/restore module which have the Transaction Operate Group function; lastly, analysis the advantage and disadvantage of this module, put forward the idea of Pair Group and discussed the new function of this module. |
