Study On The Performance Appraisal Of Chinese TV Channel

Since moving towards the market in the 1990s, Chinese TV industry has beenseeking a kind of evaluation system combined with quality and quantization in orderto standardize the industry. As a relatively independent entity, TV channel also needsa scientific and practical evaluation system for trade examination.Through dating back to development course of the Chinese TV industry andbased on the current situation of operation development of TV channel, this researchstudies the operation of TV channel in the theory of performance appraisal. In theresearch, a thorough analysis of the complex elevision channel operation system ismade, and a set of performance appraisal system is established to assess theperformance appraisal of television channels from the five perspectives: coverage rate,audience acceptance, revenue and expenditure condition as well as publicperformance status. In order to verify this appraisal system, the research uses it toanalyze the case of Jiangxi SAT-TV and the conclusion of the studies may be of useto the development of Jiangxi SAT-TV.
