The Analysis Of The Trade Deficit Phenomenon In Chinese Overseas Book Copyrights

The rate, 10 VS.1, which makes Chinese who are engaged inpublishing industry sad, has been accompanying the annual statistics ofbook copyright trade for more than ten years and has changed a little bit.Under the context of globalization, the objectivity for occurrence ofunfavorable balance of trade in book copyrights does exist, yet thelong-term phenomenon of unfavorable balance will heavily influence theeconomy and culture in China and thus has turned into a focus of thepress and the academic circles. What the present situation is, why it is, what effects it exerts and how it is improved, etc., these concerned willfall into the scope of this thesis.Employing the knowledge of mass communication, publication, economy, international trade, and the disciplines concerned, this thesis, byadopting the method of research of literature, contrast and comparison, analysis of charts, quantitative analysis, etc., analyses thoroughly thephenomenon of unfavorable balance of trade in Chinese book copyrightson the basis of collecting and sorting out the statistics of book copyrighttrade.This thesis constitutes three chapters. Firstly, based on the statistics, itdescribes the current situation and influences of unfavorable balance. Thebook copyright in China has many features, such as existing for a longtime, the trade balance being large, proportion and regional categorieswith no improvement, the deficit widened in species and its objectivityand so on. The long-term phenomenon of unfavorable balance make alot of of China's foreign exchange outflow, and heavily impact onChina's national culture. Then, from the two aspects-'heavily imported'and 'less exported', this thesis analyses the reasons why the unfavorablebalance of trade occurs from the perspective of mass communication."heavily imported" mainly because of the needs of social developmentand economic interests driven; " less exported" , from communicationsperspective, thatis, promoters of the audience, the media, communications content levels, analyses the reasons. Finally, five aspects are emphasizedon the countermeasures which targets on reverse of the unfavorablebalance of trade in Chinese overseas book copyrights: to alter theviewpoints of exporting book copyrights; to enhance the quality ofexporting book copyrights; to construct the channel of exporting bookcopyrights; to organize the team of exporting book copyrights; to improvethe environment of exporting book copyrights.
