| The archives information construction is the theme of the archives work in the information time, it is an important component of information construction and archives utility development in our country, it is also a deep revolution in the management mode of archives. It consists of infrastructure construction, archives information resource construction, standards and criterion construction, application system construction and staff construction, especially the archives information resource construction is the foundation and the core. The study on it has a very important significance not only on the theory research but also on the practical application.In terms of practice, several application problems of the archives information construction are discussed in this paper. First, three models of information management system including client/server (C/S), browser/ server (B/S)and the mix of C/S and B/S are introduced, and the mix pattern is analyzed to be the appropriate one to optimize the archives information management system for it learns from others's strong points.Then, the characteristics and functions of Document Comprehensive Management System which is developed by Wuhan University are depicted in the paper. The C/S and B/S mix model is adopted in this system, and the C/S is used in local area network only by the workers in the archive to receive, store, backup, deliver, classify, arrange, amend, delete and count the archives, while the B/S is used in campus intranet and internet by the workers in each sub department of school to upload, download, modify and receive/send documents. It is agreed that this management system. This system is adapted well to archive of our school, and the problems of interface of system and local resource are discussed from angle of database.The archives digitizing is important content of the archives information construction, archives digitization means that to transform original archives to digital information which can managed by computer, after scanning, identifying, and format shifting. Papery archives are transformed to picture or PDF documents to store after scanning by scanner; audio archives such as tapes are transformed to digital audio files to store by reproducer and computer; analog video archives such as video tapes are transformed to digital video files to store by video capture card and computer.About network utilizing service, some problems of archival database and web service are discussed. The archives resource using service of information construction is mostly done by archive website, the paper brings a project of news release system and archives query system in the website, which uses ASP language, IIS webserver, Access database and Dreamweaver tools and so on. |
