Research And Realization Of Workflow System Based On Component Technology

Since the year of 1990's, Workflow Technology has been the focus of the public, including users, developers and researchers. Workflow system is a tool to realize Computer Support Collaboration Work, it can realize the management of workflow entirely or partially automatically. Not only to benefit the standardization of work, but also convenient for the reasonable disposition of personnel and resource,the supervision,examination of workflow to improve working efficiency. For the need from all continuous and changeable fields, it is a great need of supporting the user-defined workflow system.The development of software technology goes through four phases, and they are programming, object-oriented programming, and component-based software development. With the development of software technologies, the methods of software engineering came into use, which has gone through the tradition software engineering, object-oriented software engineering and component-based software engineering(CBSE).Nowadays, component and Component-Based Software Development (CBSD) is gaining substantial interest in the software engineering community. A component-based approach can simplify the design and maintenance of large software systems and increase the opportunities for reuse and software development productivity. It is realistic and directive that the Component Technology which is researched in the software reusing field is used to develop software.This paper is based on the OMISIS in which author participate in the development, It discusses how to use the component technology in the development of workflow system. It builds the model of the workflow engine through the component technology, analyses how to abstract the workflow component, and build it, and this paper builds the workflow system with the component.The author aims to discuss how to construct the workflow system of the office automation through the component technology.
