Design And Implementation Of The Oa System Workflow Engine

Workflow is the computerization or automation of business process, it is mainly used to achieve the goal that pass documents with some scheduled rules, information or tasks with several participants, using computers. Workflow engine is the kernel of a workflow management system, it is a distributor of tasks and an allocator of resources. As there are more and more workflow applications in office automation, it is very important to do research in workflow fields.This paper does research on the workflow reference model put forward by Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC), including its architecture, workflow modeling, and workflow execution service, monitor and management tools etc. Then three Open Source workflow engines(Shark, jBPM, OSWorkflow) are analyzed. With the study of the workflow engine technique, a well-structured, easy-to-deploy workflow engine called OAWF engine is designed, and implemented in this paper. At last, we show that how to apply the workflow engine office to automation system, and the result shows that OAWF engine is easy-to-use and is helpful to improve the efficiency of work.
