Urban water supply systems are important city infrastructure and the protectionof socio-economic development and people's livelihood. With the increase in urbanpopulation and the development of social productivity level, water supply systems aregrowing scale and complexity and increasingly high requirements. In addition, urbanwater supply enterprises are major energy consumers and electricity consumptionaccounts for the cost of 60%. Traditional scheduling experience waste of energytremendously, is not suitable for modern society's development needs. Optimalscheduling, not only meet the requirements of water supply under the premise ofreasonable operation, but save a lot of energy.Based on Zhangzhou water supply system and Tonglu water supply project controlsystem for the study, the main research work on urban water supply systemoptimization and scheduling include:1. Summarize the development of urban water supply system optimization andscheduling at home and oversea, and also detail the development of the mathematicalmodels and scheduling strategy.2. Introduce the principle and research background of PSO algorithm. Accordingto the characters of swarm intelligence and constrained optimization, a new method isproposed. It is verified effectively through the benchmarks.3. Set up a two-steps optimal model based on historical data of Zhangzhou waterpipe network. The improved PSO algorithm overcomes the shortcomings of the past, and provides a new approach for such problems.4. The automation of the whole Water plant is the foundation of the entire urbanwater supply system optimization and scheduling. Base on Tonglu water supplyproject control system, introduce the automatic control and monitor system. The keydescriptions focus on configuration of PC and the composing of network.
