| The automation system of water treatment plant is very important. The popular choice now is DCS system which is characterized with distributed control and centralized manegement. It performs well in water treatment plants. The main contents of this thesis include: (1) the automation system in water supply plant and some control problem are studied. (2) Filtering is a important process in the whole water treatment process. In large scale plant, the system has multipul controllers. The communications between these controllers are very complicated. In this thesis, it is described that how to etablish the way to communicate and how to reduce the complexity. The level control of filter is also described. (3) The upgrade and rebuild of old control system is another important point. The schemes to solve some problems are put forward: A. the integration of different control networks B. level estimate to remedy the blind area of gauge C. upgrade of the constant pressure water supply system...
