Research On Documentary Information Resources Sharing System Of Shandong Province

In this paper, we proposed the building of the "Documentary Information Resources Sharing System of Shandong Province" based on the theoretical research and practical activities of home and abroad.First, we explain the concepts of Documentary, Information Resources, Documentary Information Resources and Information Resources Sharing System. We make a statistical analysis of the documentary information resources'construction and sharing of Shandong Province during 1990-2004. And the Documentary Information Resources Abundance Index Model is used to measure the situation of the documentary information resources'construction and sharing, several existing problems are founded. Then we propose to build the "Documentary Information Resources Sharing System of Shandong Province". The construction of Documentary Information Resources Sharing System of Shandong Province should follow the principle of feasibility, collaborative, normative and sustainable development. The goal of sharing system is to build a number of disciplines and areas Documents Center, and a digital platform. We make a comparative analysis of documentary information resources sharing model of home and abroad, and choose a model for the construction of "Documentary Information Resources Sharing System of Shandong Province" based on the situation of Shandong Province, including the model of the resources building and service models. There are several function of the digital platforms as Public access, Interlibrary Loan, Document Delivery, preprint services, network navigation, Selective Dissemination of Information service, Reference, Union Catalog and collaboration Procurement. And we diecuss the management and operations support systems, the preparatory funds, using the AHP for Cost-benefit assessment.
