It's a significant way of enhancing core competence for enterprises to share and reuse resources within the whole supply chain by using Internet/Intranet technologies. In this dissertation, to satisfy the demands for resources sharing and enhancing the competitive power under the condition of modern manufacturing enterprises, and to aim at establishing the global manufacturing resources sharing network and realizing a wide-ranging resources sharing, the concept, principle, model, technique and application of resources sharing based on Internet/Intranet are studied systematically. In chapter 1, the changes of modern manufacturing environment are discussed. Accordingly the new AMT (Advanced Manufacturing Technology) concepts and models are further introduced. According to the discussion, resource sharing forms the basis for AMT and enhances the enterprise competitive advantages, whose state-of-the-art and existing problems are discussed. The contents of this dissertation are then briefly outlined. In chapter 2, the concept and principle of resource sharing are introduced. According to the characteristics of the trans-regional, heterogeneous and distributed environment, the requirements for resource sharing system are analyzed, and a concentrated-distributed resources sharing schema based on CRL (Core Resources Library) and RSB (Resources Sharing Broker) is put forth. On the basis of the above theory, a framework of Internet/Intranet-based resources sharing system is proposed. In chapter 3, the theory, method and architecture of Common Semantic Model (CSM) are studied so that the concepts, objects, activities and relationships among them can be described consistently, systematically and comprehensively. For the resources sharing schema discussed in chapter 2, organization model, process model, service model and data model are studied in detail. In chapter 4, the concept and architecture of resource information model isproposed in order to address the resource sharing techniques. Based on the concept and architecture, three-level representation mechanism of resource information model and structural description of resource class hierarchy are established. At last, Resource Meta-information representation Framework (RMF) based on XML is put forth in order to improve the capability of Web support. .For the purpose of improving the resource utilization and the adaptability of resources sharing, the concept, principle and system architecture of model-driven Active Resource Sharing (ARS) are presented and ECA (Event, Condition and Action) rules are introduced in chapter 5. Then, the resources matching method based on multi-attribute restriction and the resources supplier selection based on the genetic algorithms are studied. In chapter 6, an application of above-mentioned theory, methods and techniques to shared parts library based on Internet/Intranet is further studies. The concept and principle are presented. Then, Information transmission interface of parts library and Web-based part information visualization are studied. At last, a prototype of parts library based on Internet/Intranet is introduced. In the end, the major conclusions of this dissertation and the outstanding research issues are summarized in chapter 7.
