The Study About Media Literacy Education In Urumqi

In the modern society the public get to know the outer world through the media, but somehow they are cheated and deceived because they may get lost among the enormous information and at the same time are effected by acknowledge deviation .One of the useful ways to change this situation is media literacy education. The writer used literatures , comparative methods and questionnaires during the work of probing into Urumqi media literacy education strategies.300 questionnaires are issued to investigate how the people in Urumqi are approaching to the media. Analysis based on 293 available returns shows that there are frequent activities applying of the media although the level and ability are quite low. Therefore the suggestion for Urumqi media literacy education is focusing on the peculiarities of receivers from schools,families and communities . Improvement of Urumqi media literacy education will better Urumqi's media environment and will also set a good example for other parts of Xinjiang in the future generalizing project of media literacy education.
