As the fast developing of VLSI(very large scale integrated circuits) makes the FPGA technology become more and more popular in image processing. Many new kinds of methods and ideas have been introduced to digital image processing in algorithm and system architecture. Omni-vision digital image processing is a new kind of digital image processing, which has abroad application fields.In this article, we introduce the developing status of Omni-vision image processing and the developing status of FPGA, the characteristic of FPGA/CPLD, the develop flow of FPGA. At the same time we also introduce the architecture of Cyclone II series FPGA, the hardware describing language Verilog-HDL and VHDL, the developing environment Quartus II and the discipline of developing FPGA.The emphasis of this paper is on the designing of the electrical board section. Before introducing the designing of the electrical board, we introduce some issues that usually be lightened in high speed digital circuit design.In the FPGA board design section, we explain the designing procedure in detail. Put the emphasis on the point of designing EP2C35 which adopt the FBGA footprint and the designing of power module. The aim of this section is affording a steady board for the image processing.In the fourth chapter we introduce the character and principle of I~2C bus and the configuration point of SAA7114. We also introduce the state-machine of I~2C bus controller and the simulation results.At last, the result of debugging is displayed, and the design objective is verified.
