As the rapid development of modern technology and industrial production, the requirement for measuring system and instrument meets a new high. The content and object for testing is getting more and more complicated. As a result, the workload is increased and the cry for velocity and accuracy is inevitable. Thus, the traditional manual testing can't meet the requirement. As the perfect combination of instrument technique and computer technology, the virtual instrument technique brings the better solution for testing engineers. Through the virtual instrument technique, the only thing the engineer need to do is to transfer the testing data selected from I/O interface device to the computer and using the virtual exploit tool and data postprocessor function of computer to design out the special testing system easily. This paper is focused on the virtual testing system of bearing bush for depth of parallelism and height.The bearing bush is an important component which will influence the performance of diesel deeply, and the depth of parallelism and height is two important parameters, the size of them will not only influence the lifespan of bearing bush, but also will influence the security and reliability of diesel. In order to improve the performance of complete appliance, the testing for the bush bearing is necessary. In this paper, aim to the problem of testing for conventional instrument by hand, bearing bush testing system based on virtual instrument is presented.The bearing bush system based on virtual instrument uses double pendulum & dynamic pressure measuring method, laser measuring technique and PCI bus interface to test for the depth of parallelism and height. The core hardware is facilitated with one PC, two displacement sensing device and one data collecting card. The exploitation tool is coming from the virtual instrument environment of LabVIEW7.1 of NI Company in America. The hardware will be incorporated into one automation testing system. The work need user to do is to pick the button, then the result will come out quickly. Modular program is used for the testing system and the augmentability of the system is improved. When new function is increased, we only need to increase this function to the program, the canned program is able to be executed, and not need to change the whole program largely. Which make system expansion convenient and embody the superiority what "software is instrument".The traditional testing system is only used in local place to monitor and output. The system studied here is provided with DataSocket from NI, which make the systemhave network function. By network, the user can conveniently get testing result through web in any place. So the application of DataSocket technique supports the whole system to be a remote virtual instrument.
