Along with the development of the microcomputer, compare with traditionalinstrument, the virtual instrument have the obvious technical advantage inknowledge ware, processing capability, the ratio between function and price, and Maneuver ability. The introduction of the virtual instrument to theuniversity can not only increase the efficiency and quality of testing, teaching, but also provide the effective method to reduce the cost of theexperiment instrument. It has the peculiarity of low cost, high performanceand gradually perfect test means. In the paper, using the LabVIEW (Laboratory Virtual Instrument EngineeringWorkbench) GUI as the developing platform, choosing the AC1810 as the dataacquisition card, it constructs the experiment instrument, for example:virtual oscilloscope. At the same time, it also introduces the design frameof the virtual laboratory. It uses the design method of module to describe the whole building processof the typical signal generation module, for example: signal creating module, data acquisition module, date handling module, date reading and writing module, result demonstrate module. The main function of this virtual oscilloscope completes the surveys ofthe input signal's voltage, frequency and cycle after carrying on triggering, controlling the time base. In the meantime, it analyzes the waveform by usingFFT window and frequency chart. It not only expresses the waveform by singleor double passage, but also measures it, and displays the data. At the sametime, this paper further studies how to construct the virtual instrument system. In the end, the thesis gives the outlook to the development direction of theVirtual Laboratory in the future.
