Experiment is an important measure in high school education. It was Essential to improve the students' ability of real operation and solve problem. With the development of computer technique and network technology, traditional experiment was not met the need of current demand. As an essential and beneficial supplement to the traditional experiment, virtual experiments not only save a lot of education funds, but also extend the experiments in time and space effiectively. This paper has presented a program of remote experiment based on virtual instrument. On the basis of analyzing the research status of the virtual instrument development technology, the virtual instrument technology, database technology and network technology are applied in the development of the system of virtual experiment, the network-based virtual laboratory system is built, which supplies users an opening and networked experiment environment.First of all, this pape expounds the research background, purpose and significance of the task, and introduces the development and research status at home and abroad. On the basis of analyzing the remote virtual experiment, this paper shows the designed frame of the system in detail. The system applies B/S architecture, so every computer on Internet can access the virtual laboratory. Using LabVIEW8.6 of National Instruments as the development software to design the system: the staff login module was designed by using LabSQL tool combined with database technology. It can be used to administrate the laboratory; By calling DLL of the relative instruments, program-controlled instruments can be controlled. This control is verified by experiment. In order to watch the situation of the scene in remote, ordinary USB camera is used to capture the video and the picture by using of ActiveX technology. Multi-threaded function of LabVIEW combined with NI data acquisition board is used to compose the program of multi-channel data acquisition. Experimental data was stored in the database by using SQL database toolkit. Report was generated, stored and printed by using report tool. Finally, landing the remote experiment website on the client PC, verify the feasibility of the system.Although remote experiment based on virtual instrument can not completely replace the traditional experiment, it can be more flexible than traditional experiments diverse manifestations. In the part of rasing the students' qualities and promoting the development of teaching techniques, it will play an important role.
