The simulant surrounding stereo-system designed in this paper can convert the ordinary audio-signal to stereo audio-signal through the processing of Digital Signal Processor (DSP).After analyzing the effect of DSP data type and word-length upon the audio processing performance, the simulant surrounding stereo-system is designed based on TMS320C6711. The system consists of five function blocks such as audio receiving, audio processing, DAC, amplifier and control. The audio processing unit transforms the ordinary audio-signal to stereo audio-signal with TMS320C6711, and the audio digital data is received and sent through the Multiple channel Buffer Serial Port( McBSP )of the DSP. By using AT89C51, the control part sets the system operation mode and adjusts the output volume.The DSP input/output software and the MCU control software are programmed in this paper. In addition, the boot program of DSP is designed after analyzing the boot principle of DSP. Combining with the practice, the flash boot process and notice points are summarized.The hardware and software frame of simulant surrounding stereo-system have been completed, and the system has been tested successfully.
