In this dissertation focuses are placed on the design of DSP (Digital signal processor) system which is applied for underwater acoustic signal processing -Digital multibeamforming array processing system.The primary endeavor and contributions of this dissertation are as follows:(1) The method of orthogonal multibeamforming -applied for the system is analyzed and simulated according to the target of the system. Based on these, it is discussed how to realize and simplify it in DSP system .The primary parameters of the hardware system are also estimated such as sample frequency, calculation period and the amount of memory.(2) The disturbances are analyzed which are caused when signals with a few work frequencies are inputted. And the influence in the realization are also discussed such as calculation period and the quality of multibeamforming. They are solved by software and hardware methods - array processing with multiple DSP and low-passed re-filter .(3) Based on principle analysis and simulation, the main parameters are obtained. And the hardware solution is proposed -parallel processing system with multiple DSP.(4) The design of the software used to control logic and timing is presented. Combining the hardware and software, the real-time performance is also discussed.(5) When the system is debugged, some problems are discussed in detail and solved, such as Volts D.C of the input signal caused by A/D converter and aliasing in frequency spectrum arising as re-sampling input data.Experimental results show that the performance of the system is satisfactory.
