With even higher clock frequency and edge rate, to find and solve signal integrity problems in high speed digital circuit has became more and more important. A larger number of nets with multiple interconnections required to be simulated under multiple conditions. However, inefficiencies exist in most signal integrity simulation tools available. Simulation automation and data process are not intelligent enough. These tools are too designer dependent. In this dissertation, a signal integrity simulation automation technique based on Cadence is proposed. Any number of nets in a printed circuit board can be analyzed under different conditions. Simulated results are collected and processed, and the reports are printed automatically.A simplified introduction of signal integrity is made firstly. Simulation automation flow based on Cadence is discussed. Then the high level structure of automation simulation software is developed. Implementations of each module are discussed in detail. Furthermore, some critical techniques including communication among multithreading and OLE automation technique are also discussed in depth. Finally, some simulated results of the signal integrity simulation automation platform are presented. And some new ideal are put forward.
