The software and hardware development of general signal processing board are introduced in this paper. The design of CPCI bus interface and the method of communication between general signal processing boards are introduced, also the development of CPCI driver on Windows and Linux operation system is described in detail.At the beginning of this paper the hardware framework of multi-DSP sharing bus signal processing board is introduced, the method of communication between general signal processing boards, and the design of CPCI bus interface based on PCI bridge chip PCI9054 are the main contents. Next, how to develop hardware driver on windows2000 system is shown. As the key point of this paper, the framework of windows driver model (WDM) and how a driver communicates with hardware are describled.As an example, the paper introduces how to develop CPCI bus driver using driver developing packet of Windows. This driver is applied on data collection device for miss distance measurement radar, it achieves DMA transfer between PC and general signal processing board at high speed. Meanwhile, the operating software for data collection device is introduced briefly.At last, how to develop driver for general signal processing board on Linux operation system is introduced.
