With the development of the society, there are more new things having been found which let us to be more difficult to know them. All of the difficulties focus on the contradiction between mass algorithm and realtime processing. My task is to design a high performance signal processing platform in order to solve it.The scheme is the most important because it is the reflection of the whole design and the requirement of the dissertation.Besides, the materials adopted can affect the scheme.DSP ICs is TS202 which are compatible with TS201 and they are the newest TigerSHARC series DSP ICs designed by the world famous DSP company-Analog Device inc. FPGA(EP1S20F780) is also used to realize interface conversion. EP1S20F780C7 is the product of the world leading programming logic devices corporation-Altera.The same series products: EP1S25F780, EP1S30F780 or EP1S40F780 can replace it. DDR SDRAM memory bank is used as the mass buffer in some applications.Compact PCI 6U board is adopted because of its reliability.Followed above, this dissertation has much content about the hardware design which include DSP,FPGA,DDR SDRAM memory bank interface circuit,PCI,Power circuit,board-level interconnection design. This part puts much emphasis on key circuits many of which require us to have deeply known the components adopted and involved specifications. After hardware designing,it is debugging and simulation. The result of hardware debugging is a critical process because it decides success or failure of the design.Simulation mainly realizes DSP,PCI,DDR SDRAM interfaces and inter- communication which is the primary work for FPGA design.Above all, this dissertation has given detailed presentation of the whole design which is helpful for others to design a new hardware system.
