As the essential for human existence and development, the air environment has increasingly been thinking highly. The quality of air has become an important symbol of assessing a city. For protecting air quality, air pollution monitoring is a foundation work, and it gradually displays its importance. In practice, accompany with the increasing of monitoring item, the extending of scope and the augmenting of station, handicraft monitoring system has its difficulty in meeting our desire. Yet now air monitoring systems restrict to point-to-point communication by telephone, which are lacking of teamwork among station by wireless network, especially, department's cooperation at resolving the complicated question of air pollution. At present, most air monitoring systems are being introduced foreign technologies and equipment in our country, which not only are expensive but also can't gear to our practice. In particular, it is falling short of our desire at the aspects of system construction, data acquisition, remote control and diagnose.To solve problem above, this thesis analyzed the demands of the system and the user. Designed and development a highly integrated the real time, intelligentize, networking, systemize "air pollution long-distance control and auto monitoring system base on GPRS" which is based on the advanced computer technologies of hardware and software. This system is made up of the local monitoring part, the center system of management and the transmission of data. It's capable of data collecting, graph showing, form recording, automatic standard-exceeded alarming and data ling-distance transferring. In order to make the manipulation more convenience, we designed the human-machine-interface in specific ways for different users.This system's innovation is the take advantage of GPRS that distributing broad, transmitting rapidly, always online, low expenses, has no restrict of terrain and reduce cost of net construct. This method resolves atmosphere's large extent, real time, long time and online monitor. This system possesses the advantage of beautiful interface, rapid flexibility, good expansibility, short development periods and low development cost. This research can't only improved of the air pollution monitoring system's timeliness and dependability but also improved of the level of automatic monitoring in the air pollution and so it has a very crucially applied value in the environmental protection.
