This thesis combines the digital signal processing and EDA these two kinds of techniques. After doing research on how to collect the information of audio and image data, the thesis puts forward a kind of solution. This solution basiclly carried out the audio signal and the image signal to collect. The main contents include: digital signal processor(DSP) application,the application technique of programmable logic device CPLD in the DSP system,the hardware design of the audio electric circuit,the hardware design of the digital image electric circuit,the hardware design of the UART electric circuit and customer application programs.The thesis mainly introduces the solution from two aspects: hardware and software.Hardwarepart: After learning the DSP structure characteristics and evolvtions and doing the analysis of the TMS320VC5416 structure characteristics, I finish the hardware design which takes the DSP and the CPLD as core chips. CPLD is used to control the peripheral circuit. All the pins of the DSP are used in the core board. Then I analyze the characteristics of every part, such as audio, image, UART, choose the most suitable chips and complete the hardware electric circuit design.Software part: I master the system development tool of the programmable logic device and the method how to design the CPLD. Then I realize the time and logic control of the peripheral circuit. I finish the initialization of the DSP, the audio and image information collecting programs, the UART program and the application programs with the development tool CCS of DSP.At the end of the thesis, it introduces the regulation and method how to make the PCB boards and puts forward some improvement suggestions.
