With the development of micro-electronic technology,the technology on area array packaging(such as BGA,Flip Chip),which provides more I/Os,smaller size and better performances of the chip than many standard packages,is developed rapidly. Vision alignment technology is one of the key techniques for packaging equipments. High-speed image acquisition system,which affords clear image timely and exactly,is required as a result of precision and speed for vision alignment technology.Therefore,the performance of vision alignment technology is straightly influenced by one of image acquisition system.This paper gives a general comment of the civil and alien present state of application and perspectives of development in the field of image acqusition and processing. On the base of it,we design a high-speed image acquisition system using CPLD as the manipulative center and DSP as the CPU,which is able to capture and process video signal synchronously and rapidly, realize the high-speed acqusition and processing of image. The details and methods of research as follows:Firstly,this paper deeply analyses basic concept of standard video signal and sampling frequency. The scheme of general design and working flow for the image acquisition system are given according to the baisc form of the system.Secondly,designs anterior acquisition circuit, pretreatment circuit and control circuit,the 20MSPS as the velocity of high-speed A/D converter may satisfy the acquisition of video singal;Line sync signal and field sync singal are gained from viedo signal by special video separator;The problem of synchronization of the whole system is solved through sync signal generator circuit applying phased-locked frequency multiplier;The system is controled and achieved through CPLD and VHDL.Moreover,this paper selects low power digital signal processor of TMS320VC5410 and designs image processing circuit and peripheral circuit;Analyse primary characteristic of some interrelated arithmetic operators such as the filteringand the edge detection in detail;Based on the experimental analysis,realizes simple image processing applying median filteringand Sobel operators.Finally,the layout, power and gound, transmission line and so on in a design for a highspeed board is introduced in detail. Points for attention in design for a high-speed board are discussed and tests the performance of the system and prove the hardware circuit and result of processing with relevant experiments.In sum,this paper adopts CPLD and DSP to finish the design of high-speed image acquisition system,the system that have simple structure,inexpensive cost and good practicability can be applied in a lot of embedded image processing system.
