Resource Monitoring Service Of Grid Operating System

This paper introduces the research and implement of Resource Monitoring Service (RMS) of Grid Operating System (GOS). GOS can manage thousands of computers, which can work together like a huge virtual computer. But users can not get any information of it running status; therefore GOS need a service to monitor its status imminently. Whereas current gird monitoring services are still in research. This paper analyzes the features of GOS and develops a brand new resource monitoring service. RMS adopts advanced Plug-In technology which greatly eases developing reports to display new data and modules to collect new information. It also makes use of new Web technology which allows users can visit report at any moment and everywhere. Because it based on GOS, it has high security and performance. RMS in this paper is only gird monitoring service that used in business. It has practicality and guidance meaning.
