With the development of the large scale integration circuit (LSI) and FPGA, logic analyzer is widely used in design and testing of the modern digital system. Logic analyzer is the most useful and representative apparatus in the measurement and analysis of digital system. This paper focuses on circuit design and test of logic analyzer based on embedded processor NiosⅡ.In the first chapter, the basic principles of logic analyzer are described. The design targets of embedded logic analyzer designed in this topic is given. In the second chapter, circuit structures of embedded logic analyzer and all the intergrades are introduced on the whole. In the third chapter, the FPGA function modules are discussed in detail, such as center control module, data acquisition and storage circuitry, trigger and storage control circuitry, search and compare module. Each module's simulation result is also shown. In the fourth chapter, an intact debugging scheme of the logic analyzer is presented. Problems appeared in the debugging procedures and the ways to fix them are also given. In the fifth chapter, the test results are shown. In the last chapter, the performances and developing trend of the logic analyzer is summarized.
