A Study On The Development Of The Archival Postgraduate Education For Master's Degree In China

Postgraduate archival education for the master's degree came into being in China in 1984, and so far more than twenty years has gone by. Great achievements have been made in the postgraduate archival education in China, but there still exist many shortcomings.In this paper, the author first reviews the past development and the achievements of the postgraduate archival education in China, and then explores way to further develop the postgraduate archival education for the master's degree in China by way of systems analysis and comparison. By systems analysis, the author mainly analyzes the problems that exist within the system of postgraduate archival education, and at the same time, studies the interactions between the system of the archival cause and the postgraduate archival education system. By analyzing the interior environment as well as the exterior environment of the postgraduate archival education system, ways to further develop the postgraduate archival education are investigated across-the-board. At the same time, comparisons are made between the archival postgraduate education in China and foreign countries to provide helpful hints for the development of the archival education in China.
