This article compares and analyzes the contents and standards-setting issues of the standards of IFLA, ALA, QAA, CILIP, CDGDC, and RCCSE in order to find the similarities and differences. Then it puts forwards the suggestions and principles of establishing Chinese education standards of Libraries Science to give reference for related research.This paper consists of six parts. The first chapter elaborates the selection of topic, research situation and methods, and innovation. The second chapter compares the principles of selecting details, the determination of the typical standards, and introduces the national assessment mechanisms to makes preparation for the follow-up study. The third chapter compares the related matters of those evaluation criteria, including the main bodies of standard-setting, assessment purpose, the implementation of standards, assessment objects and scopes and the standards characteristics. The fourth Chapter is the main part of the paper, and it interprets the similarities and differences of the standards from the angle of the contents. Assessment in our country is comprehensive, so there are differences between the criteria of China and Foreign countries. The fifth Chapter analyzes the status of graduate students major in Library Science in our country, points out that the Chinese education pays attention to theory research but not applied technology research, and then puts forwards the suggestions and principles of establishing Chinese education standards of Libraries Science. The last chapter gives a summary of the paper, and points out the deficiency of this paper and further research issues.
